Before joining Meagher + Geer, Oliver worked as a law clerk with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid’s Immigration Law Project, where he conducted client intake interviews, prepared asylum and humanitarian relief applications, drafted legal memoranda, and assisted with case strategy.
Oliver earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he competed in the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition, served as a teaching assistant, and was Vice President of Community Affairs for La Alianza. He earned his B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
Oliver also gained practical experience through the University of Wisconsin’s Neighborhood Law Clinic, representing clients in housing and property tax matters before administrative bodies. His work included drafting filings, conducting discovery, and navigating state and local regulations.
He also served as a law clerk with the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Public Protection Unit, supporting environmental enforcement actions through legal research and drafting complaints, motions, and memoranda.
Outside the office, Oliver enjoys long-distance running, cooking, and promoting equal access to education.
