    Case Assistant

    Meagher + Geer is seeking a legal Case Assistant for our law office in downtown Minneapolis. This is a full time administrative position – no law students will be considered. The candidate should possesses organizational and proofreading skills, enjoy variety, demonstrate initiative and will work in all aspects of the case management process.     Responsibilities:

    • Downloading, profiling, and electronically distributing documents received through TylerHost (the State Court filing system)

    Information Technology Support Specialist

    Meagher + Geer has an opportunity in Minneapolis for an Information Technology Support Specialist.  We are a Minneapolis-based law firm with additional offices in Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Bismarck.

    The Information Technology Support Specialist will perform a range of duties focused on delivering technology to Attorneys, Paralegals and Legal Administrative staff. Responsibilities include providing support for the Firm’s catalog of applications as well as support for phone, computer hardware, printers, mobile devices, video conferencing, desktop, laptop application interfaces, and Litigation Technologies. The ideal candidate will provide support via phone, email, remote desktop control, and desk-side support for approximately 180 users across four office locations.  Work hours include regularly scheduled business hours and after-hours coverage.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Accept initial IT support requests, take ownership of those requests, prioritize, diagnose and drive resolution to the satisfaction of the requesting party.
    • Resolve the majority of support requests upon first contact with user.  Particularly requests that involve an applications usage issue.
    • Assist department with documentation and training materials when deploying new technologies.
    • Participates in the evaluation, development, and implementation of security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environments.
    • Ability to diagnose SPAM and Phishing attempts that were able to penetrate multiple layers of email security.
    • Regularly participate in after-hours on-call support, contacting requesting users and resolving or escalating issues.

    Litigation Technology Specialist

    Under the supervision of the Practice Support Technology Manager, the candidate is responsible for creating, maintaining and troubleshooting litigation support databases, trial presentation software and hardware.  Assist with document review, production, and trial support to the legal teams. Candidate should not be averse to jumping in to help where needed when the situation demands it. This position offers plenty of challenge and opportunity for personal career growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operate litigation technology (software) systems with an emphasis on Relativity, Summation, Trial Director and the CaseMap suite
    • Set up courtroom and war room technologies

    Legal Administrative Assistant

    Meagher + Geer P.L.L.P. is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant with litigation experience to add to our staff in North Scottsdale.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensures all legal correspondence, documentation, and scheduling is completed in a timely manner and formatted appropriately, such as discovery requests and responses, depositions, motions, subpoenas, pleadings, summary judgements, and complaints.
    • Completes electronic court filings (ECF) in State and Federal courts.
    • Maintains concise calendaring for each matter and related due dates; ensures proper maintenance of any case calendar.
    • Schedule depositions, arbitrations, mediations, client meetings, court reporters, interpreters, court appearances.
    • Submit new file opening requests; prepare physical case files; close files, update matter lists.

    Meagher + Geer, PLLP is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Scanning Clerk in their downtown Minneapolis law office. The Scanning Clerk will be responsible for sorting and scanning various documents using a copier/scanner while maintaining accuracy. No remote options for this position.

    • Prepares documents to scan by removing paper clips or staples
