Matt is an associate in our insurance practice group.
Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked as an associate attorney focusing on insurance defense litigation, handling all aspects from strategy to trial. He previously served as a judicial law clerk, drafting numerous court orders on varied legal matters, including novel issues like geofence warrants.
Matt earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he participated in multiple legal clinics. He also gained experience through federal judicial externships, where he assisted in civil rights and civil litigation cases and drafted orders on complex and emerging legal issues such as COVID-19 employer vaccination mandates.
Matt also holds dual bachelor’s degrees in public policy and criminology from Arizona State University.
Outside the office, Matt enjoys kayaking, reading, and taking on DIY projects.
