Meagher + Geer is proud to welcome Austin A. Lara as an associate in its commercial litigation, construction, insurance, insurance coverage and products liability practice groups.  Austin focuses his practice on insurance defense and civil litigation, representing insurers and insureds in a variety of third-party and first-party claims, including bodily injury, general liability, and insurance coverage matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Austin practiced with a Scottsdale-based law firm, where he handled insurance defense and complex litigation matters through trial, mediation, and settlement. His experience also includes serving as a law clerk and courtroom bailiff for the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County and as a summer law clerk for the Honorable Cindy K. Jorgenson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.

Austin earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. He also holds a Master of Legal Studies, with honors, from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
