Associate Attorney
Mid-Level Employment Advising and LitigationWe are seeking a Mid-Level Employment Advising and Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of employment law experience to join our dynamic legal team. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who enjoys counseling employers on a wide range of workplace legal issues and litigating employment claims. The position offers a balanced opportunity to work in both an advisory and defense litigation capacity, supporting a diverse client base that may include public and private employers across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Counseling: Advise HR professionals and management teams on legal risks related to hiring, discipline, employee leave, terminations, workplace investigations, and performance management.
- Policy Development: Draft, review, and update employment policies, employee handbooks, and SOPs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Compliance Guidance: Provide strategic advice to clients on legal compliance, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and other relevant employment laws.
- Transactional Support: Counsel clients on the employment law aspects of corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions.

Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Paralegal
Family LawWe have an opening for an experienced Family Law Paralegal in our downtown Minneapolis office. The ideal candidate will have experience in Family Law and general litigation. Responsibilities include gathering information, communicating with clients, drafting motion documents and discovery responses, scheduling motions and mediations, composing and replying to emails and letters, creating detailed Excel marital estate balance sheets for dissolution cases, and other related legal tasks. The ability to work within scheduling constraints is crucial, including managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Draft legal correspondence, including letters, answering of informal and formal discovery and assisting in drafting of divorce pleadings and motion pleadings.
- Organize and prepare financial documents, i.e., balance sheets for large marital estates using Excel.
- Assist with mediation and trial preparation by preparing and organizing financial documents, outlines of issues, expert material, pleadings, depositions, and exhibits.
- Expected to bill a minimum of 1600 billable hours per year (133 billable hours/mo).
- Communicate with attorneys, clients, and support staff.
- Manage and prioritize projects to meet various deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 6+ years of work experience as a Paralegal in a law firm. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program and/or 2 or 4-year degree is required.
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficient in using Excel and creating marital estate balance sheets.
- Proficient in using litigation technology systems such as iManage/Work 10, Titan File, and Aderant.
