  Civil Litigation (Insurance)

  Meagher + Geer is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join our Minneapolis team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance coverage and civil litigation, excellent advocacy skills, and a passion for delivering results. This role involves handling all aspects of litigation, including drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and depositions, communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.

  Applicants should have outstanding academic credentials and strong analytical, writing, and persuasive speaking skills. The successful candidate will have passed the bar and be licensed to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and/or Illinois.

  Compensation & Benefits

  Senior Litigation Attorney

  Are you a seasoned litigation attorney with a passion for trial work and a strong track record of success in complex cases? We’re looking for a Senior Litigation Attorney to join our team and lead with confidence, strategy, and integrity.

  What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum 10 years of litigation experience
  • Proven trial experience in state and/or federal courts

  Litigation Paralegal

  Meagher + Geer is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for our Bismarck office. This is a dynamic opportunity to join a collaborative team working on complex cases, particularly in medical malpractice defense.

  Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
  • Request, organize, and summarize medical and non-medical records
  • Prepare deposition and trial materials, including subpoenas and exhibits
  • Manage case files and deadlines across multiple matters
  • Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel
  • Support attorneys with trial prep, document production, and motion practice

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certificate (ABA-accredited)
  • 6+ years of litigation defense experience (medical malpractice preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems (e.g., iManage)
  • Experience with time and billing software (e.g., Aderant)
  • Medical background or experience reviewing medical records is a plus
  • Ability to meet billable hour requirements and work overtime as needed
