Tressa is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on insurance coverage and litigation. She assists clients and senior attorneys with all phases of the litigation process, including legal research, written discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and case analysis. Tressa is experienced in drafting legal briefs, memoranda, and other litigation-related documents, and she works closely with clients to develop practical and effective legal solutions.
Prior to joining Meagher + Geer, Tressa gained experience through private practice and public-sector legal roles. She conducted legal research and prepared memoranda addressing a variety of litigation issues, including medical malpractice, municipal law, appellate matters, criminal law, and constitutional issues. Her experience also includes reviewing discovery materials, preparing trial and deposition exhibits, analyzing legal arguments, and assisting attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials.
Tressa developed her interest in litigation while working with a public defender’s office, where she researched legal issues, reviewed evidence, and assisted attorneys in preparing cases for hearings and trial. These experiences provided her with a strong foundation in legal writing, case analysis, and courtroom procedure.
Tressa earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she served as a student writer and contributing editor for the Iowa Law Review. She also graduated from the University of Iowa with dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminology, Law & Justice.
