Meagher + Geer is proud to welcome Oliver S. Argueta as an associate in the firm’s insurance practice groups. Oliver brings a practical, client-focused approach to legal problem-solving, informed by his academic achievements and varied professional experience.

Prior to joining Meagher + Geer, Oliver worked as a law clerk with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid’s Immigration Law Project, where he conducted client intake interviews, prepared asylum and humanitarian relief applications, drafted legal memoranda, and assisted with case strategy. He also gained hands-on experience through the University of Wisconsin’s Neighborhood Law Clinic, representing clients in housing and property tax matters before administrative bodies.

Oliver earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he competed in the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition, served as a teaching assistant, and was Vice President of Community Affairs for La Alianza. He earned his B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.

Outside the office, Oliver enjoys long-distance running, cooking, and promoting equal access to education.
