Although Jeff focuses his practice on intellectual property, commercial litigation and insurance litigation, he is a flexible litigator who can handle a wide range of civil disputes.
In the area of intellectual property, he represents clients in trademark, copyright and licensing disputes as well as disputes over trade secrets, confidentiality clauses and non-competition agreements.
Jeff is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and past chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the ABA Tort Insurance Practice Section. Twice, he has traveled to Austria to explain the issues surrounding U.S. intellectual property litigation to audiences of international lawyers.
Jeff also conducts a robust practice in insurance litigation, where he represents a wide range of commercial insurers as defendants in coverage disputes and as plaintiffs in matters involving contribution or subrogation. The cases have involved environmental, directors and officers, errors and omissions and commercial general liability policies.
Jeff is admitted to practice in three of the federal circuit courts of appeals and ten of the federal districts. He has litigated in 14 states.
In addition to his intellectual property, commercial and insurance litigation work, Jeff gets a lot of satisfaction from representing individual claimants in cases involving coverage under life and disability policies.
Jeff sat on the planning committee of the City of Plymouth. Currently, most of his outside-the-office attention is focused on the school and athletic activities of his five children.
