Melissa focuses her practice on employment law, commercial disputes, professional liability, e-discovery matters, and appellate advocacy. She represents companies, professionals, associations, and individuals in complex disputes, helping clients navigate workplace issues, business conflicts, liability claims, and appeals with a practical, strategic approach.
Clients work with Melissa for:
- Defense of employment claims, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination
- Defense of commercial-litigation and business disputes
- Defense of professional-liability claims involving lawyers, insurance agents, accountants, and other professionals

- Electronic litigation and e-discovery strategy
Melissa works with clients through all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, through investigation, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial, and appeal. Melissa guides clients through all stages of the appellate process, including initial strategy, briefing, and oral argument before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, Minnesota Supreme Court, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
