Meagher & Geer partner Rob Graff has been awarded the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) 2012 Sam Sadtler Award.  This award recognizes an individual who has displayed outstanding service to the MCLA/USLIA community.

Rob was a lacrosse defenseman at Harvard and 4 year letter winner.  Since moving to Minnesota, Rob has been instrumental in developing lacrosse with youth, high school, collegiate, and club programs, summer leagues, and officials. He is a founding member of the Minnesota Lacrosse Association (US Lacrosse Chapter).

As head coach at University of Minnesota-Duluth (1992-2010), he led the Bulldogs to national prominence through his hard work and dedication, resulting in 13 UMLL Championships. Serving as UMLL Conference Director since 2002, Rob has been instrumental in guiding the UMLL forward by his thoughtful approach to rules and regulations, and his willingness to enforce those rules. The short outdoor playing season has led to the UMLL establishing an innovative solution of indoor games early in the season.

As a member of the MCLA Board of Directors, Rob has played an integral role in laying the groundwork for the current success of the MCLA. He has served on the MCLA Tournament Selection and Seeding Committee since its inception and is currently on the Awards Committee.
