Meagher + Geer welcomes Tressa J. Lauer as an associate in the firm’s Minneapolis office. Tressa focuses her practice on insurance coverage and litigation, assisting clients through all phases of the litigation process, including legal research, written discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and case analysis.

Prior to joining Meagher + Geer, Tressa gained experience through private practice and public-sector legal roles, where she worked on a variety of litigation matters involving medical malpractice, municipal law, appellate matters, criminal law, and constitutional issues. Her experience includes conducting legal research, preparing legal memoranda, reviewing discovery, analyzing legal arguments, preparing trial and deposition exhibits, and assisting attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials.

Tressa earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she served as a student writer and contributing editor for the Iowa Law Review. She also earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminology, Law & Justice from the University of Iowa.
