Meagher + Geer welcomes attorney Matthew J. McVeety to its Minneapolis office

Meagher + Geer is proud to welcome Matthew J. McVeety to its Minneapolis office as an Associate Attorney. Matt joins our Anti-Fraud and Extra Contractual Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Construction, Insurance, and Products Liability practice groups.

Before joining Meagher + Geer, Matt worked as an associate attorney with a focus on insurance defense litigation, managing case strategies and trials. He also served as a judicial law clerk and drafted court orders on various legal topics, including issues such as geofence warrants.

Matt earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and participated in several legal clinics. His experience includes federal judicial externships, where he assisted in civil rights and civil litigation cases and drafted orders addressing complex legal matters such as COVID-19 employer vaccination mandates.

He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in public policy and criminology from Arizona State University. In his personal time, Matt’s interests include kayaking, reading, and engaging in DIY projects.
