Meagher + Geer welcomes Han N. Li as an associate in its Minneapolis office, joining the commercial litigation and professional liability practice groups.

Han earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he served as Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review and Treasurer of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. He also served as a Teaching Assistant in a Legal Writing and Research course and as well as a Research Assistant to a professor studying administrative law. Prior to law school, Han completed dual undergraduate degrees at the University of Minnesota: a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

After law school, Han clerked for several years in trial courts in Minnesota. As a law clerk to a civil trial judge in Hennepin County, Han worked on cases running the gamut from employment to malpractice to trade secret to high-stakes commercial and contract litigation. The experience taught him that no matter the arena, good research, writing, and presentation make for effective advocacy.

In his free time, Han enjoys biking, playing chess, reading books to learn, and playing with his cat Daisy.
