Marshall Lichty, a lawyer with Meagher & Geer, has been elected President of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation.  Marshall will serve as President from July 1, 2010 until June 30, 2011.  Marshall was previously the Foundation’s Vice President.  Marshall focuses his practice on the defense of a wide range of complex medical claims against medical professionals and entities, food supply product suppliers, and long-term care facilities and personnel.

Serving as the charitable arm of the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Foundation provides financial assistance to individuals, organizations, and projects related to the law and the legal system. The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation, derives most of its funding from direct contributions from individual HCBA lawyers, area law firms, and other organizations in the legal arena. Contributions to the Foundation provide support to a wide range of legal services programs in Hennepin County including programs that:

(1) provide legal services to individuals of limited resources;
(2) educate the public about the legal system; and
(3) contribute to the improvement of the legal system and the administration of justice.

The firm is also proud to be a longstanding financial supporter of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation.
