Meagher & Geer partner, Kate McBride, has been appointed to the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure for a three-year term, effective July 1, 2013.

The Advisory Committee is responsible for reviewing the rules of civil appellate procedure and proposing modifications to those rules.  The advisory committee’s primary work will focus on proposed or necessary modifications to the appellate rules to accommodate electronic filing and service in the appellate courts.

Kate focuses her practice on appellate law and complex motions – especially those involving litigation issues, professional liability, insurance coverage, and other areas in which the firm maintains a trial practice. She has handled more than 100 state and federal appeals.
