The law firm of Meagher & Geer is pleased to announce that Jonathan D. Miller, a partner in the firm, has been certified as a Real Property Law Specialist.  Jon receives this distinction though a certification program administered by the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), and approved by the State Board of Legal Certification.  This achievement has been earned by fewer than 3% of all licensed Minnesota attorneys.

The certified specialist designation is earned by leading attorneys who have completed a rigorous approval process, including an examination in the specialty area, peer review, and documented experience. Certified attorneys have demonstrated superior knowledge, skill and integrity in their specific field and can use the designation of specialist to advertise their credentials.

Jon focuses his practice on representing professionals in the real estate and banking industry in civil litigation. His clients include real estate agents and brokers, title companies, appraisers, mortgage brokers and financial institutions, as well as commercial and residential lessors seeking to enforce their leases in unlawful detainer actions and civil lawsuits.

In 2004 and 2006 Jon was recognized as a Rising Star®. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the list.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the MSBA and the Hennepin County Bar Association, including being a member of the real estate section of the Hennepin County Bar Association. Jon was a former Adjunct Professor of Law at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
