Client Receives Favorable Summary Judgment Ruling

The firm’s client, The Burlington Insurance Company, received a favorable result today in an insurance coverage case, Russell vs. Burlington Insurance (Civ. No. 09-431), United States District Court, District of Minnesota. Judge Richard H. Kyle ruled in favor of Burlington and granted summary judgment, noting in part that Plaintiff’s claims fell within the “assault and battery” exclusion of the policy.
In this case Burlington was represented by Meagher & Geer partners’ Amy Woodworth and Chuck Spevacek, both of whom practice nationwide in the area of insurance coverage.
