Kathleen is an attorney practicing mainly in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate services with Meagher + Geer’s Minneapolis office. She is licensed to practice law in several state and federal courts in the United States. Strongly committed to civic and community service, Kathleen serves on Meagher + Geer’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and she has been named a North Star Lawyer by the Minnesota State Bar Association for her pro bono work. Prior to joining the firm, Kathleen was a Judicial Clerk for judges in the Sixth Judicial District of Iowa.
Kathleen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served as a Senior Article Editor on the board of the Wisconsin International Law Journal. While in law school, she gained valuable research and writing experience during her time as a judicial intern with the Honorable Michael Gableman of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and through her work as a research assistant to Professor Mark Sidel. Kathleen honed her litigation skills working as a law clerk at the Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office and as a student prosecuting attorney at the Dane County District Attorney’s Office.
Kathleen earned a degree in Chinese law from Fudan University in Shanghai, a top 3 university in China. She spent a year as a visiting student at the University of California at Los Angeles, where she was chosen as an undergraduate fellow with the University of California Center for American Politics and Public Policy to spend a quarter in Washington, D.C. Kathleen speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, and conversant French.
Outside the office, Kathleen enjoys reading, traveling, volunteering and practicing Taekwondo.
