Joe is an attorney in our Employment, Corporate/Business Services, Real Estate, Securities and Financial Services groups. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation, counseling and defense of broker-dealers in FINRA arbitration, and corporate and real estate transactions. In his transactional practice he has advised on executive severances, business stock and asset sales, condominium formation, home sales and purchases, and the formation of business entities. He also maintains a practice of advising clients on bankruptcy issues and helping creditors enforce their rights in bankruptcy.
In 2011, Joe received his B.A. in Economics from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. In 2014, he received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of St. Thomas Law School where he served as an Articles Editor of the law review. In law school he completed a year-long clinic advising fledgling nonprofit organizations, and competed in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the NYC Bar National Moot Court Competition in his second and third years. He also received numerous academic distinctions, including receiving the top course grade in Real Estate Transactions, State and Local Tax, Constitutional Law, and Lawyering Skills 1 and 3.
In his free time, Joe enjoys cheering on the NDSU Bison football team and the Minnesota Wild, playing hockey, riding his bike, fishing at the family cabin in northern Saskatchewan, and cooking.
