Aaron focuses his litigation practice on professional liability, insurance coverage, and complex general liability matters. For more than a decade, he has been a litigator with first-chair jury trial experience. Aaron has significant experience handling all facets of civil litigation in both state court and federal court, as well as appeals in Minnesota State Courts and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In his professional liability practice, Aaron’s clients trust him to provide strategic, efficient, and cost-effective results. He regularly counsels and represents insurance companies, insurance agents, directors and officers, lawyers, accountants, financial advisors, bankers, property management companies, homeowners’ associations, real estate agents, and other various professionals.
In his insurance coverage practice, Aaron works closely with claims representatives and managers at leading insurance companies, representing them on coverage issues including, commercial tort liability, complex general liability, construction defect litigation, cyber liability, director and officer liability, employment litigation, liquor/dram shop liability, premises liability, products liability, sexual harassment/sexual abuse litigation and subrogation litigation.
Aaron is active within the insurance industry on multiple levels and he continually monitors changes and new developments in insurance coverage litigation. He shares this knowledge through training and writing about how professionals may prevent claims; speaking about developments in key insurance industry issues; and working with state and national trade organizations. Aaron serves as Steering Committee Co-chair for the North Central Chapter of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). He is also a Certified Insurance Agent Continuing Education Instructor for the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Association and an approved insurance agency auditor.
Aaron also handles various transactional matters, such as legal entity formation and contract drafting, for insurance agencies and other small business owners.
Aaron was an Imagery Analyst in the Minnesota Army National Guard from 1997 to 2003. He is a Lifetime Member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association and an alumni of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
Outside of the office Aaron enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.
