Meagher + Geer is proud to announce that partners Wyatt Bailey and Rob Justman have been listed by Phoenix magazine among its “Top Lawyer” honorees for 2022. The magazine made its selections from voting conducted among the local members of the Arizona Bar Association.

Wyatt Bailey has been selected as a “Top Lawyer” in the area of Corporate Counsel. Wyatt’s practice is focused primarily on advising businesses, and their principals, as outside general counsel on all legal matters affecting them, including assembling teams of specialists to assess and address potential risks. He is also intricately involved in the resolution of complex commercial disputes, including alternative dispute resolution and litigation. In addition, Wyatt represents professional service providers in connection with attorney, accountant and architect and engineering malpractice claims.

Wyatt is committed to providing his clients with a fair and comprehensive analysis of their business issues and litigation matters, including a realistic assessment of success, at the inception of representation – not on the eve of trial. Wyatt is further committed to encouraging and facilitating creative alternatives to litigation. Put simply, litigation is costly and is often in no one’s best interest. Wyatt is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). NITA’s team of practicing lawyers, professors and judges from around the nation dedicates its efforts to the training and development of skilled and ethical legal advocates to improve the adversarial justice system.

Rob Justman has been selected as a “Top Lawyer” in the areas of Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith. Rob represents insurance companies on coverage matters. He works with claims professionals through the interpretation and application of insurance policies. He drafts coverage opinions and crafts coverage position letters to uphold the insurance contract. He spends the majority of his time litigating coverage actions, including declaratory judgment actions, equitable contribution actions, and defending against coverage and bad faith lawsuits.

Rob’s coverage practice touches each of the Rocky Mountain States. Rob offers coverage advice, recommendations, and prosecutes coverage actions in states around the country. But he focuses his coverage litigation in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada. Many of Rob’s coverage cases are forumed in Utah, where he holds an active Utah bar license. Arizona remains the home base and the hub of the coverage activity. In any given case, the focus is on successfully representing the client. Yet it is equally important to Rob to forge a good working relationship with a foundation of rapport and trust. Good advice, counsel, and strategy coupled with collaboration is the goal.
