Meagher & Geer has announced that Lenae Pederson and Tamara Rollins will become partners of the firm effective January 1, 2010.

Lenae focuses her practice on complex civil litigation – with an emphasis on disputes related to design professionals and products liability. She has been named a Rising Star in both of these areas by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.  Representing architects and engineers, Lenae has defended many types of cases, including professional negligence claims associated with water and sewer systems, pneumatic conveying systems, retaining walls and bridge design.  In her products-liability practice, she has defended manufacturers and distributors against claims involving construction equipment, recreational vehicles, small machinery, and silica sand/asbestos products.  In addition, she has defended a wide range of contractors against construction-defect claims.  She received a B.S. degree from Florida International University in 1996, and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 2001.

Tamara focuses her practice on anti-fraud litigation, commercial litigation and insurance coverage litigation including disputes involving medical providers, insurance and consumer fraud actions. She handles first-party insurer actions involving arson, theft and property loss, and has experience in food-borne illness litigation. She also provides anti-fraud counseling and internal investigations. Tamara has been a member of the trial team for at least ten trials across the State of Minnesota and frequently handles hearings and other proceedings in both state and federal courts. Tamara has been named a Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine. She also served as a law clerk in the Fourth Judicial District Court, in Minnesota.  Tamara received a B.A. cum laude from Drake University in 1998, and her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2001.
