James F. Roegge

Retired

T:
jroegge@meagher.com

Jim focuses his practice on defending clients – healthcare providers, lawyers, securities brokers, and real estate agents -- against claims made under their professional liability insurance policies.  He also defends clients in other liability cases as well as in general commercial litigation.

Over the years, I have tried more than 200 cases to verdict.  The issues may vary from case to case, but what does not vary is the rapport Meagher & Geer has developed with the judges we appear before and with the lawyers we work against.

Locally, Jim is regularly named a Super Lawyer in the areas of medical malpractice defense and business litigation by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.  In a statewide survey conducted by American Research Corporation, he was named a Leading Attorney.

Nationally, Jim is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers – the premier professional trial organization in America.  In addition, he has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers of America and The Best Service Professionals in the United States under the category of Lawyers: Commercial Litigation.

Jim is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel as well as the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Outside the office, Jim contributes many hours to his well-known church choir – as a baritone.  He also enjoys golf and tennis.
