Melissa focuses her practice on complex motion practice and appellate litigation. She is frequently asked to consult on a case when circumstances require a fresh perspective. She assesses the situation and implements a creative resolution to best serve the client’s needs. This may take the form of a major motion in either the Minnesota or Federal District Court, negotiation on behalf of the client or a well-crafted appellate brief.
Melissa represents clients primarily in the area of medical malpractice, but also crafts complex motions and defends appeals in insurance coverage, employment law and the firm’s other practice areas. At Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Melissa was an executive editor of Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine.
