Jon has represented his clients in matters involving professional malpractice, breach of contract, dram shop, catastrophic loss, general negligence, food borne illnesses, and defective products. Jon focuses his practice on complex mass tort product liability claims such as asbestos, silica, and benzene. Jon’s experience extends beyond Minnesota’s borders. He has defended his clients against claims venued in North Dakota, Illinois, Texas, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Delaware, New York, and California. Jon has also served as the lead associate on behalf of a multinational corporation in the national coordination of complex mass tort product liability claims venued throughout the United States.
Jon has successfully obtained dismissal of claims on behalf of his clients on numerous occasions. If a dismissal is not possible, his goal is to always place his clients in the most advantageous position for settlement or trial while managing the litigation efficiently so his clients can focus on their core business. Jon is an exceptional advocate for his clients while always maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and ethics. Jon was a law school honors graduate. While in law school, Jon was a legal writing tutor and also served as an editor for the Hamline Law Review. He also received CALI Awards for excellence in Legal Research & Writing and Civil Procedure.
Jon enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and his dog, Spike. He also can be found outdoors jogging, hiking, biking, and sampling the diverse cultural cuisine available in Minnesota. He is an eternal optimist who believes that his beloved Minnesota Vikings will someday win the Super Bowl.
