Main Biography

For more than 35 years, Dick has focused his practice on the defense of professional liability claims - especially those filed against physicians, nurses and hospitals, and attorneys.  He has tried more than 150 jury cases to a conclusion.

In medical malpractice, you get to try a lot of lawsuits - which is something I really enjoy.  The clients are well educated and dedicated to their patients.  The cases are very interesting - rich with legal and medical research.

Because of his experience, Dick has been inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers.  In addition, he is included in The Best Service Professionals in the United States in the category of Lawyers, Malpractice Law, and Personal Injury (published by Best of the United States).

In Minnesota, Dick has been named a Super Lawyer in the area of medical malpractice defense by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine and a Leading Minnesota Attorney for medical and malpractice defense by the Minnesota Consumer Guidebook to Law & Leading Attorneys.  He is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America.

Dick also represents healthcare professionals in administrative proceedings involving licensure and practice privileges, as well as employment liability and products liability actions.
